Be inspired to take your look from rut to rocking at This is Yorkshire Beauty Event

This is Yorkshire Beauty Week is taking place in May this year, when a host of events will take place 22-26 in Leeds, Bradford, Harrogate and York celebrating the region’s love of all things beauty. Created by Yorkshire Businesswomen member, Dr Lubna Khan-Salim the aim of the week is to put the spotlight on the key issues and topics that are important to women of today: representation in beauty, sustainability, health and wellbeing, and aesthetics.

One of the events planned, supported by Yorkshire Businesswomen is all about feeling good about yourself – whatever your age. The Rut to Rocking event is being held on Tuesday 23rd May at Koncept Studios in Leeds city centre and is a fun evening designed to give you some inspiration when it comes to make up, hair styling and fashion.

We’ve all experienced getting stuck in a rut when it comes to our make up choices, how we wear our hair and what clothing we feel comfortable in. We lead busy lives! BUT even if it’s comfortable because it’s what we know, it doesn’t mean that it always makes us feel good. And just because we reach a certain age, doesn’t mean we stop being interested in fashion and make up.

The experts joining us on the evening include:

  • Abi from Blow me Bouncy who will be sharing her essential hair products and multi-use tools, plus showing off a day to night easy look you can recreate
  • Make up maestro, Katie is giving her top tips on make up looks to suit all ages and her favourite products
  • Dawn from Apparel Boutique will be showing the impact of colour and what wardrobe pieces work for lots of different ages and body types

Plus, Spirit Sisters will be joining us to hand out your welcome drink – plus there’s a top up during the evening too! With only 24 places available, tickets are limited so please book yours at: https://www.thisisyorkshirebeauty.com/rut-to-rocking
