Cookies that may not make it to the jar!
This week, Tim Bilton our award-winning chef and talented friend, is sharing some very simple recipes that will appeal to all the family - especially those with a "sweet tooth".
His Chocolate Chip Cookies store really well in an airtight container or cookie jar, however as Tim suggests "What am I talking about, these will never make it that far!"
Chocolate Chip Cookies
Pre-heat the oven at 180c
125g Butter
100g Soft light brown sugar
125g Caster Sugar
1 Egg
Drop Vanilla extract
225g S R Flour
200g Chocolate Chips
Pinch of salt
Cream the butter and sugars together.
Add the egg and vanilla.
Sift the flour and salt, then add the chocolate chips.
Mix together.
Roll into a fat sausage shape and slice to make a neater cookie or roll into equal balls.
Place onto baking parchment and bake for 7 minutes, or until the cookies are just setting (this will make them soft, doughy and delicious - otherwise cook a little longer until golden round the edges).
Remove from the oven and allow to set a little before placing on a wire cooling rack.
We thank Tim for his recipes and look forward to many more in the coming weeks.
