Halifax sisters finalists in family business awards

X-Press Legal Services has been named a finalist in the Business Services category of the Yorkshire and Humberside Family Business Awards 2022.

Local businesswomen and sisters, Helen Foster and Claire Ide who run the company, beat off strong competition to be shortlisted, with a record 186 businesses entering the awards from across the region.

Born and bred in Yorkshire, the sisters have turned their regional expertise into a hugely successful business supporting legal and conveyancing professionals across South and West Yorkshire. They provide a wraparound service including residential & commercial searches, pre & post completion services and compliance products.

Claire comments: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted for this award which recognises all that is unique about our business – family ownership and a fantastic Yorkshire location! 2022 has been an extremely hectic year for the conveyancing sector and we have had to react quickly to changes in legislation, compliance and taxation, to name but a few. We’ve worked fast to stay at the cutting-edge and pride ourselves on ensuring we continue to deliver the best-quality service to our growing client base.”

The sisters will find out if they have scooped an award when the winners are announced at Headingly Stadium on 11 November.

Sue said: “We were inundated with some incredible entries, and we have been burning the midnight oil to get through them as they came in right up to the wire. The judges had extremely difficult decisions to make, so the finalists should be extremely proud of themselves!”

Helen and Claire will next receive a visit from the expert judges before they make their final decisions.

X-Press Legal Services South & West Yorkshire provide expert search reports to the conveyancing sector across Calderdale, Bradford, Kirklees, Hyndburn, Pendle, Rossendale, Barnsley, Doncaster, Sheffield and Rotherham helping to keep the property sector moving across the region.
