MEPC encourage community to get creative

Developer and Asset Manager, MEPC, is encouraging the Leeds community to get creative during these difficult times with their newest virtual activity - Leeds in Colour competition.

Whether you prefer to paint, use colouring pencils, chalks or felt tip pens, you can let your imagination run wild, colouring in scenes inspired by the city of Leeds.

What’s more, with a £100 Amazon e-Gift Voucher and a £100 donation for your chosen charity up for grabs, there’s never been a better excuse to reach for the art supplies and get creative.

Closing on 18th May, the winner will be selected by Janice Leung, a former BA (Hons) Illustration student at Leeds Arts University, who created the original artwork.

The competition has already been well received, with one entrant saying: ”Thank you for helping me unwind on my day off, found it very therapeutic.”

Dominique Simcox, Head of Customer Experience at MEPC Wellington Place, added: “Everyone continues to look for ways in which they can keep both themselves and their families entertained during this period of lockdown. As a proven way of improving mental health, colouring can help the community in and around Wellington Place in numerous ways.

“The artwork perfectly captures the city we all know and love and with a great prize available for the winner, we hope it’ll help lift spirits!”
