An internationally renowned clinical hypnotherapist from Anlaby, East Yorkshire, is through to the national finals of the prestigious Federation of Small Businesses Awards after winning the self-employed/sole trader category for the Yorkshire and Humber region.

Sheila Granger, whose expertise in the field of personal and professional transformation has changed thousands of lives for the better, is due to attend a glittering FSB National Finals award ceremony in London on May 21, 2020, along with all the other regional finalists.

To the professional clinical hypnotherapist, Sheila is the leading worldwide provider of professional training. Her training programmes are current, creative, innovative, and above all evidence based – equipping therapists around the world with the skills and knowledge to help them build a successful practice.

Sheila said: “It feels really special to be a regional finalist. I’m sure none of us who are considered entrepreneurs are good at looking at what we’ve achieved. It’s always so lovely to get some external recognition which enhances the belief that you’re on the right path with your business and heading in the right direction.

“From a credibility angle, especially in the digital world where we are all looking to work with businesses and people that you can trust, awards like this give massive credibility that someone else has judged you and said ‘yes, that’s a good business’. When you win an award it’s almost like getting an assessment on your business and you really have something to shout about.

“This recognition of all the work you put in, especially as a sole trader when you only have yourself to answer to, is really powerful.

“FSB make the process for applying so easy and simple for businesses, it’s not an onerous process and along the way, you get to see what other businesses are doing, which is really inspiring.”

FSB Development Manager Claire Reading said: “This is great news for Sheila, who has built such an innovative concept and created a professional and globally reputable business that many can benefit from – it’s fantastic to see this success in the regional awards.
