IoD launches search for most talented business leaders

The Institute of Directors (IoD) has launched its annual search for the most talented business leaders in Yorkshire and the North East.

Nominations and entries are now being sought for its prestigious Director of the Year Awards which recognise the region’s top directors from the business, public and third sectors.

Winners in 14 categories will be invited to attend to the national Director of the Year Awards final celebration along with winners from other IoD regions.

The 14 categories are:

  • Large Company - £50m +
  • SME – up to £50m
  • Family
  • Start-up
  • Third Sector
  • Public
  • International
  • Innovation
  • Young
  • Agility & Resilience (new category for 2021)
  • Equality, Diversity & Inclusion
  • Sustainability
  • CSR
  • Non-Executive.

Delroy Beverley, IoD Regional Chair for Yorkshire and the North East, said: “Our awards are among the most prestigious and credible in leadership, recognising the achievements and successes of directors across the public, private and third sectors. Given the challenges of the last year, I am sure there will be plenty of inspiring and entrepreneurial stories to be told and shared as the business community comes together to recover and rebuild.”

Deadline for entries is Friday 2 July 2021. The awards ceremony will take place virtually on 18 November 2021.
