Wakefield Bounce Back Week is aiding Wakefield-based businesses come back stronger than before, with a jam-packed week of informative webinars.

The webinar series will kick off on the 21st June, including 11 free insightful webinars scheduled throughout the week. Each one will be delivered by experts in their industry and includes a broad range of business-related topics. Below are the core events running throughout the week.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from national and local keynote speakers, business leaders, educators, and entrepreneurs such as:

• Ben Barker, Founder of Gecko
• Susan Cowlishaw, Corporate Wellness Facilitator

They will discuss some of the disruptive developments that are transforming the workforce in Wakefield, as well as ideas and opportunities that will aid Wakefield's competitiveness, recovery, and development.

It’s been a tough year for all of us, especially those running their own businesses. But despite the hardships we’ve endured, there have been some spectacular examples of good old Yorkshire-style resilience in the region.

Companies have innovated, pivoted and taken on every challenge thrown their way and have the battle scars to prove it. Aside from the webinar series, Wakefield Bounce Back Week has chosen to celebrate the bravery, hard work and ingenuity seen throughout our region by hosting the WBBW Awards!

These awards bring recognition to the people that deserve it. The categories include; Community Spirit in Business, The Entrepreneurial Excellence Award and the Wakefield Pivot with Purpose Award. People can apply on behalf of their business or nominate a business they would like to put forward. Each of these awards are free to enter and nominations entries close on the 18th of June.
