North Yorkshire whisky distillery launches Cream Liqueur
The team at Yorkshire's first single malt whisky distillery have released their latest bottling.
Hunmanby based Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery has launched a Cream Liqueur made from Yorkshire single malt whisky, single malt spirit and dairy cream.
Of the launch, Distillery Co-Founder David Thompson said: "Here at Spirit of Yorkshire we respect tradition, but we like to do things differently. Whereas most cream liqueurs only use new make spirit, ours marries fully matured whisky with our light and fruity new make spirit in equal measure. In addition, we've sourced the richest dairy cream with the highest butterfat content possible."
The distillery's whisky director, Joe Clark added: "Rich, luxurious and warming. Our Yorkshire single malt whisky and single malt spirit (made with 100% homegrown barley) is gently married together with the rich dairy cream to create a beautifully balanced and complex cream liqueur of exceptional quality and flavour."
Spirit of Yorkshire Cream Liqueur, 20% ABV costs £25.50 for a 70cl bottle and is available from the distillery shop, online at spiritofyorkshire.com and from selected specialist retailers nationwide. It can be enjoyed straight up, over ice and is delicious over ice cream for an indulgent dessert.
Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery was launched in 2016 and is a collaboration between farmer and brewer, Tom Mellor from Wold Top Brewery and business partner, David Thompson.
