Yorkshire’s favourite festive duo land at Lotherton
It's officially the most wonderful time of the year in Yorkshire, after Santa, Mrs Claus and the cheeky elves officially opened The Christmas Experience at Lotherton.
Everyone's favourite festive couple were spotted landing their sleigh at the popular family attraction just outside of Leeds, and have already proved a huge hit over the opening week.
This year's Christmas Experience has been sprinkled with extra enchantment, featuring Santa's newly enhanced snow-filled North Pole, and Mrs Claus taking up residence in the Elf Village for the very first time.
Councillor Salma Arif, Leeds City Council's executive member for adult social care, active lifestyles and culture, said: "We're so excited that seasonal sensations Santa and Mrs Claus have returned to Lotherton for another magical Christmas. They have been delighting visitors young and old over the opening week, with the magical North Pole proving a huge hit!
“The House looks stunning in its Edwardian festive finery, the woodland walk is more enchanting than ever, and festive fairydust has been sprinkled liberally across the Estate – there's a real sense of magic in the air.
"The Christmas Experience is a highlight of the year, and we are thrilled that visitors are having a wonderful time. Santa and Mrs Claus are looking forward to meeting even more families from across the region, hearing their festive wishes and spreading Christmas
cheer for all to hear."
Open now until 5 January, families can enjoy the ultimate festive day out with exceptional value and more wonder and joy than ever before. Santa and Mrs Claus will be welcoming visitors until they head back to the North Pole on December 24, ready for Santa's round-the-world trip.
New for 2024, families can gather around the cosy fire pit to toast marshmallows and warm up after their winter adventures. The estate has been transformed into an enchanting wonderland, with twinkling lights and larger-than-life installations celebrating Christmas
traditions past and present.
And while Santa's diary is almost fully booked, there are still lots of options for festive fun, including storytelling and keepsake creating with Mrs Claus, Christmas crafts with the festive elves, and adventures through the mesmerising woodland walk.
The Christmas Experience is now open and is run by Lotherton and Breeze. Tickets are available from just £6.75, booking is essential as spaces are limited and strictly on a pre-booking only, time-slotted system.
