Abstract artist launches her limited edition art canvas prints
Toni Thornton Art is known for her abstract style, her signature colour palette and incredible eye for detail – which is why her work is featured in the homes of celebrities, art collectors and admirers around the world – and on Thursday 27th May, Toni Thornton launches two limited edition prints, Cotton and Forest rain, in her largest scale to date.
“Sometimes a larger space requires a larger piece of artwork and the demand for prints for this brief has grown in popularity, certainly now more than ever before’, said Toni Thornton.
The first piece, Cotton, is reminiscent of the soft cotton plant, swaying delicately in the breeze. With beautiful layers of snow white, taupe, sand and fawn, the brush strokes are subtly layered to build a highly textured base, with strands of white and grey sitting across the surface. This piece works beautifully in any orientation and would be suited to a space which layers subtle colour and texture within the design.
Toni Thornton said about Cotton; “I wanted to create a piece that was soft in texture and composed with a build-up of layers and colour. Inspired by the softness of the cotton plant and the interior trend of dried flowers and soft tones in homes, what I love about this painting is that I’ve been able to create a print that is full of detail and depth, not necessarily at first glance, but certainly from a closer inspection. Cotton is a perfect match for any modern home or space and I’m so happy with the finished result.”
In contrast to Cotton, Forest rain is a dramatic and bold piece that will certainly make a statement. The layered brush strokes in darker hues create a louder, more powerful piece that would add character to any space, perhaps perfect as a compelling focal piece within an otherwise minimalist interior.
Toni said; “This piece was inspired by a recent trip to Sherwood Forest, which is where I got married. This is why I chose to create a louder, more eye-catching piece to emanate the significance of that occasion. The darker, moodier colours and tones speak to the strength and power of the forest and the layered brush strokes were inspired by its depth. The beauty of this piece mirrors that of the unfiltered beauty in nature."
The new fine art canvas prints are produced using a 12 colour Giclee fine art printing process and hand finished by one of the UK’s most experienced canvas framing teams. Each print is produced on 400gsm fine art canvas and is available in a range of various tray framing options.
All Toni Thornton Art prints are limited edition, meaning that only 100 of each painting will be produced and each individual painting will be hand signed and numbered once purchased.
With her previous limited edition collections proving to be sell outs, Toni is showing with her new prints that sometimes bigger can be better.
In 2017, after studying Art through Leeds Arts University and The University Of Huddersfield, Toni launched ‘Toni Thornton Art’. In a world of ever-growing social media interaction and home accounts, Instagram quickly became the perfect platform to showcase her designs. From then on, requests for bespoke pieces and new home projects took off and Toni has since produced artwork for home and interior spaces and projects all over the world.
