Author and positive ageing campaigner Siobhan Daniels is set to host two empowering workshops at Writers Retreat UK, a family-run business in Beal, North Yorkshire.

The half-day ‘It’s never too late’ workshops, on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 September, will give guests the chance to chat with Siobhan and hear her story while enjoying a welcome drink and afternoon tea.

Siobhan, who has talked openly about her journey from being broken by life events such as bereavement, bullying and menopause to rebuilding herself and living a life she truly loves, released her debut novel Retirement Rebel in her 60s. It chronicles her decision to swap her career at the BBC for travelling the UK and beyond in her motorhome.

She'll be sharing her unique perspective on surviving, thriving and ageing positively, and of course how she combines her writing career with her retirement adventures.

Owner Jan Birley, herself a published writer and award-winning filmmaker from Selby, said: “Siobhan’s novel was truly gripping and you can’t fail to feel inspired after reading her story. We’re passionate about making everyone welcome at our lovely venue and we know our guests are going to have a really special day.”

Tickets for the workshop cost £28 and include afternoon tea and a goody bag. You can book your place here.
