The FashionFizz event at Harveys last month brought together CFFC supporters and Harveys customers giving Calderdale shoppers inspiration for their Spring Summer wardrobe.

Guests were welcomed with fizz and delicious canapés, before the fashion shows which gave inspiration of what to wear for a variety of occasions.

Talented Stylist and Yorkshire Business Woman member Bernadette Gledhill (pictured) co-ordinated the show and pulled together the looks of all of the models, supported by Harveys staff. Shoppers then enjoyed exclusive access to the store and took advantage of 10% discount off everything, a raffle, makeovers, and everyone left with a goody bag full of gifts from brands like Gabor, Molton Brown, Clinique, Best You Health, and Chocolate Box.

Clothes were showcased by a mixture of professional models and ladies from charities that CFFC has funded. The non- professional models included Angela Everson from the Women’s Centre, Anne Sutcliffe from Rotary, Bola Adams from Light Up Black and African Heritage Calderdale, Lorna Butterick from Project Challenge, and Venna Levis from Focus for Hope. There was lots of fun and laughter; from Venna Levis modelling Levis branded clothes, to the models joking with the audience and making them smile.

Fellow Yorkshire Business Woman member Rachel Oates from CFFC explained, “With so much doom and gloom around, we felt that people needed something to look forward to and to have a bit of positivity and fun. We wanted to raise awareness with Harveys customers about the Community Foundation and that we fund lots of brilliant charities making an impact on so many peoples’ lives in Calderdale, and that good things are happening.

“Guests who had not been in Harveys for a while were pleasantly surprised with the wide range of quality brands available, which caters for different styles, sizes, and budgets. We raised awareness about the work CFFC does and had a fun evening with friends, what was not to love?”

Tracy Harvey, managing director of Harveys added, “Harveys’ were delighted to host the FashionFizz event for the Community Foundation for Calderdale. It was wonderful to welcome customers, old and new, to the store for what was a really fun evening. As we all know, Calderdale is at it’s best when we all work together and this was a perfect example of how well we do that. Thanks so much to the CFFC, Bernadette Gledhill and the fabulous volunteer models who made the evening such a success.”
