Kirklees College is preparing for its second round of open days, and the first of 2023. Join us at our Huddersfield Centres on Saturday 21 January between 10.30am – 1.00pm, and our Dewsbury Centres on Wednesday 25 January between 5.30pm – 7.30pm, to find out more about what our further education college has to offer.
Our open days give prospective students a unique opportunity to come and see the college for themselves and get a feel for the environment they will be studying in. Visitors can ask tutors questions, go on guided tours of our centres, find out about enrichment opportunities and much, much more.
The college’s mission is to create opportunities and change lives of people across Kirklees. We offer a wide range of 16-18, higher education, and adult courses. We are also a leading provider of apprenticeships in West Yorkshire. Our tutors are industry experienced, helping create an informed, talented and aspirational workforce.
The centres that will be open in Huddersfield are the main Huddersfield Centre on Manchester Road, Brunel Construction Centre, Engineering Centre and Taylor Hill Animal Centre. In Dewsbury, prospective students will be able to visit the Springfield Sixth Form Centre and Pioneer Higher Skills Centre, which is dedicated to higher education and higher skills.
Helen Rose, Director of External Relations said: “Our November open days were a huge success, seeing record numbers of attendees visit the college. We hope to see even more guests during our January open days, as more 16-year olds get closer to sitting their GCSEs, and facing decisions about their next steps. We also hope to see plenty of adult learners, and look forward to showing visitors the amazing educational opportunities we have for people of all ages across Kirklees.”
