Leeds City College announces £25,000 fund for developing local artists
Leeds City College has launched its fourth and final round of arts funding, the
biggest to date, to support new and developing creative talent across the Leeds
City Region.

A Sheffield Charity, Mums In Need, will feature in a new BBC2 documentary called
Womanhood. The programme will hear from celebrities including Strictly Come
Dancing Judge, Shirley Ballas, writer Chidera Eggerue, businesswoman Jacqueline
Gold, singer Sinitta Malone and comedian Suzi Ruffell. Together, they want to
explore the role of women
Social enterprise initiative awarded Heritage funding to raise the profile of women in Rugby
A Huddersfield social enterprise initiative, led by Julia Lee, one of the first
women to referee men’s Rugby League in the 1980s, has been awarded £89,825 by
the National Lottery Heritage Fund for a project which will uncover, document
and celebrate the history of women in Rugby League.
Yorkshire Tonic wins at quality food awards
Yorkshire Tonic has added to its trophy cabinet with a win at the Quality Food
Awards 2021.
The company’s new Paradise Yorkshire Tonic took first prize in the Foodservice –
