It's almost 30 years since I last visited Castle Howard, I had forgotten how beautiful it was.
On Saturday I was invited by Gillian Robson to attend the Bradleys of York and Faberge black tie dinner, celebrating the launch of their beautiful new Christmas pendant featuring a little Robin, voted Britain's most loved bird.
Sadly Gillian wasn't able to attend for personal reasons but Debbie Dobson, director of sales at Dakota Hotel and I had an amazing time.
Walking down the Christmas Tree adorned driveway to the spectacular entrance, we were greeted with glasses of champagne before catching up with some of our business colleagues ahead of a sumptuous dinner.
Hosted by Nick Howard and his wife, Kay Bradley gave the opening speech followed by Sarah Faberge who both spoke about their collaboration and the design of the new Faberge Egg exclusive to Bradleys.
Dinner followed and was topped by an exquisite dessert, inspired by the famous Faberge egg, a gorgeous chocolate egg with a decadant tart filling.
One lucky winner walked away with the prize of the night, a Faberge inspired pendant donated by Bradleys with proceeds donated to charity.
Always working both Debbie and I made some great connections for Yorkshire Businesswoman and our members and have a few dates in the diary, as well as catching up with existing friends, Sarah Restrick from The Club, Lisa Byrne, former editor of OK Magazine and Valeria Sykes, owner of Grantley Hall.
