A campaign to entice shoppers into the city centre is set return for a second year with Bradford BID launching the ‘Tenner Treats’ fortnight at a range of independent and high street businesses.
Over 15 venues are offering an exclusive £10 treat across the first two weeks of August, starting on Thursday 1st August. From lunch time offers, to evening drinks, coffees, cakes and candles, there’s a range of deals to enjoy including from the likes of Blooms, The Midland Hotel, Tiffin Coffee, Ginger Goose, Sunbridge Wells, Looney Golf, Brew Dog and many more.
Nikki Chadburn, Bradford BID Business Communication Manager says: “ The Tenner Treat campaign is an excellent opportunity for people to enjoy a great value offer from a wide range of venues. It’s a chance for the businesses to say thank you to their customers for supporting them during difficult times, plus with the cost-of-living crisis still having an impact on many shoppers, these offers will be a welcomed treat.”
The campaign makes a return after a successful pilot last year and was inspired by the Totally Locally campaign, ‘Fiver Fest’ that was created to highlight the difference to local economies if more people spent regularly at independent businesses.
Matthew Crowther, Manager of Tiffin Coffee said: “We took part in last year’s campaign and it was extremely popular with shoppers. It’s been a difficult year for many independent businesses in towns and cities across the country. The roadworks in the city centre have been a challenge for us and we hope the Tenner Treat campaign acts as a reminder to the public to come and support the local businesses in the city centre and enjoy a great offer.”
The initiative has also inspired Shipley Town Council to get involved in the campaign, with over 15 independent venues offering a £10 treat over the fortnight.
Participating venues will be displaying the Tenner Treat poster in their windows and a list of the Bradford offers can be found at www.bradfordbid.co.uk
