Founded by Yorkshire Businesswomen member, Ros Jones Speaking Out: Domestic Abuse and the Workplace is a one-day event being held at the Marriott Hotel in Leeds on 11th October.
Despite one in three women and one in nine men experiencing abuse, within the workplace it’s an issue that many don’t speak out about, they feel embarrassed and ashamed mentioning it, or unsure how to tackle it.
This event is for people to find out more about it and what they can do as a business to support their workforce. Experts in law, finance and HR will be sharing their insight, along with people from the charity sector, and survivors sharing their stories. Free resources and a new Charter for Yorksshire businesses to sign to show their commitment to ending domestic abuse will be launched at the event.
Any profit proceeds are going to support the Yorkshire domestic abuse charity, IDAS.
