Independent Wakefield retailer, Junior Bambinos, who sell children’s toys, furniture and gifts, have been shortlisted in this year's National Entrepreneur Awards.
The small team, which consists of founder Linda Ladley, her husband Shaun and their two young children, Jessica and Zachary, along with her sister in law Zoe were recognised in the ‘Best Family Business’ category.
After more than 10 years of experience running a children's store, Linda is an expert on all things bump, baby and beyond.
She said, “I previously worked in child development so I’ve always known just how important it is to nurture this development through play. When I realised that there weren’t many brands out there providing this kind of support to parents, I knew that I could make a difference with this brand. To know that we’ve helped thousands of mums and dads, if only in a small way, on their journey to becoming parents is exactly why we work so hard.”
The brand set out to help childrens’ learning development through play and that they have done as they’ve cultivated a loyal consumer base.
It’s not hard to see why customers have fallen in love with Junior Bambinos. From strollers and play boxes, to beautiful personalised gifts, the online store stocks everything both parents, and parents to be, might need.
Speaking of the awards Linda said, “Junior Bambinos is a labour of love. Everything is done by myself and my family so this has been a sort of validation that all of the late nights and the hard work are paying off. If I’m honest we couldn’t believe that our little family had been shortlisted for such a big award.”
Linda and the team at Junior Bambinos are ending the year on a high with this recognition which has put a spring in their step as they push on with the launch of their christmas range as we head towards the busiest season of the year.
