Womanifest will take place to coincide with International Women’s Day
Womanifest, a two-day empowerment, lifestyle and wellbeing show, will take place for the very first time in Manchester, to coincide with International Women’s Day. The live event will take place on the 7th and 8th of March 2020, at the Deansgate Hilton, and will showcase female-led businesses that provide products and services that enhance wellbeing, happiness or success of women.
There will be a main stage with headline speakers, a story stage for inspirational women to tell their story and inspire others, as well as over 60 seminars, workshops and experience events, plus 50 exhibitors.
The event programme will also include special guests and surprises across the weekend, and all exhibitors will be female-led businesses. There will be VIP packages in addition to general admission tickets and organisers are expecting over 2,000 attendees across the weekend.
Womanifest is teaming up with The Pankhurst Trust and Women’s Aid to raise awareness and funds via the event, and is also working with Coppafeel and Girls Out Loud as charity partners.
Womanifest is the brainchild of Jodie Salt and Roxy Rhodes, who run online women’s members club Ladies Life Lounge. Salt, who is also an established and well-renowned female assertiveness coach, said:
“Womanifest is a genuinely original, innovate event that aims to educate, empower, inspire and liberate women and we want this event to be the first of many. We’ve chosen Manchester as our launch city due to the rich female heritage within the city, and the fact that women really are empowered to be the best they can be here, with such a supportive, collaborative female community. We want women to walk out feeling like different women to when they walked in! We are also so proud to be supporting such wonderful charities close to ours, and our attendees hearts.”
The Pankhurst Trust brings together Manchester Women’s Aid and the Pankhurst Centre, working together to ensure the powerful story of the suffragettes continues to inspire us all to challenge gender inequality, and to ensure that those suffering from domestic violence and abuse get the confidential help they need. Francesca Raine, representing the charity, said:
“We’re so proud to be part of Womanifest, an event that completely aligns with our values of female support and empowerment, and are really grateful to the fundraising support from the team. We can’t wait to be involved and are excited to see the event be the great success it deserves to be.”
