As many of us are in lockdown and self isolation, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find fresh produce in the supermarkets.

As we approach Spring, why not consider growing your own vegetables? You don't need a big garden or an allotment, a few tubs and window boxes work just as well.

Start with something easy like lettuce, tomatoes, potatoes and onions. Very easy to grow and quick too. Most of these can be grown from seed and if you plant now on a sunny window sil indoors, you will have fresh vegetables in a matter of weeks.

The Coronavirus looks like it will hang around for some time, so whilst you are self isolating, give it a go, better than sitting in front of the TV.

Over the coming weeks, we will share with readers our growing tips, as we too are going to get planting!
