Leeds Wellbeing Week returns for 2026 with HelloHope at the helm
Leeds Wellbeing Week will return from Monday 1 June to Sunday 7 June 2026, marking its seventh year and the first time the week has been run by HelloHope.
The city-wide celebration of wellbeing will feature dozens of events across Leeds, bringing together businesses, residents, students and communities for a diverse programme of activities, workshops and talks.
Founded in 2017 by Lucile Allen-Paisant, Leeds Wellbeing Week has grown into a well-loved annual celebration of health and wellbeing in the city. HelloHope, a Leeds-based mental health and suicide prevention Community Interest Company, is now taking the initiative forward, building on its strong foundations and helping it reach even more people across Leeds.
This year’s week is supported by headline sponsor EGYM Hussle, a modern, inclusive fitness benefit providing employees with discounted, multi-brand access to thousands of gyms, pools and spas across the UK via a single, flexible, no-contract membership.
EGYM Hussle and partners will run a series of events throughout the week with its flagship event focused on HR and people leaders on Tuesday 2 June at Department at Leeds Dock.
Further partners and sponsors include Leeds City Council (Active Leeds), The University of Leeds, Leeds Beckett University, Touchstone, Step Into Sophrology, Hypnotherapy Lounge Leeds and Sage Ayurvedic, a meditation and massage company and sponsors of the weekend, running a retreat on Saturday 6 and a wellbeing festival on Sunday 7 June.
Venue partners include Royal Armouries, Department, The Attic, New Craven Hall with further Leeds venues invited to open their doors to host events across the city.
Across the week, people can expect a wide range of events and experiences, from practical workshops, yoga, sound baths and meditation to talks and discussions on mental health, neurodiversity, burnout, and workplace wellbeing.
Ellie MacDonald, founder and CEO of HelloHope, said: “Leeds Wellbeing Week is all about showcasing Leeds as a vibrant city which cares about its people – residents, businesses and students. There’ll be something for everyone, from practical workshops to a variety of topics discussed at talks, providing a taster of different wellbeing activities for people to try what works best for them and their workplaces. We’re honoured to be leading Leeds Wellbeing Week for the first time and to build on the brilliant vision that Lucile created.”
Matthew Williamson, regional sales manager of EGYM Hussle said: “I’m really proud to support Leeds Wellbeing Week and see so many organisations across the city coming together to prioritise health and wellbeing. At Hussle, making wellbeing more accessible is at the heart of what we do, so it’s fantastic to be part of an initiative that encourages people to take time for their physical and mental health.”
Leeds Wellbeing Week 2026 will shine a spotlight on the city’s wellbeing offer, celebrating local expertise, creativity and community spirit while helping make support more visible and accessible to all.
Individuals, organisations, venues and partners are encouraged to get involved and help make this year’s programme the biggest yet.
