On Wednesday evening 16th March, Evolve Medical will be presenting an expert Menopause Workshop at their clinic in Pudsey. This event is free and intended to be an introduction to the advice and treatment options that are available to both perimenopausal and menopausal women of all age groups.

Evolve Medical is a CQC registered clinic, with a team consisting of highly qualified and renowned professionals specialising in leading aesthetic and medical treatments.

The newest clinician to join the experts at Evolve Medical, Dr Ella Russell, more widely known as the ‘Yorkshire Menopause Doctor’, will be hosting this event.

Formerly with the NHS and now a private GP, Dr Ella has more than 20 years of experience and is well-recognised throughout Yorkshire for providing the highest standard of care to her patients. Dr Ella has a real passion and skill for supporting women struggling with their perimenopausal and menopausal issues.

As a postmenopausal woman herself, Dr Ella decided to develop her expertise in this field when she realised how little support and expertise there was readily available within the NHS.

Menopause is something that affects every woman, yet little support is readily available for women suffering symptoms of the menopause. Google search data revealed over 5 million menopause-related terms searched in 2021, with the main focus being around lack of support in the workplace.

Dr Ella Russell said, “Recent surveys have highlighted the impact that the perimenopause and menopause has had on every aspect of women’s lives from their physical and mental wellbeing to their relationships both at home and in the workplace. For years, society, including health care professionals, have ignored the impact the menopause can have on women and their families. Women have been denied the support and treatments they need and deserve to keep them happy, well and their symptoms managed in their later years. Whilst so much good work is now happening around raising awareness to empower women and break down ‘taboos’, we still have a long way to go as less than 1 in 5 women are getting the treatments they want or need during their mid life.”

Dr Russell will present to small groups of around 10 people from 6pm on Wednesday 16th March. The sessions are expected to be very popular so if you want to attend please contact the Evolve Medical team on 0113 257 6701 or email info@evolvemedical.co.uk as spaces are limited.
