As April marks Stress Awareness Month, a Yorkshire leadership coach is encouraging business leaders to rethink how they approach pressure, performance and recovery at work.

Ros Jones, a leading expert in burnout and leadership, will host The Leadership Reset at Middlethorpe Hall & Spa on Tuesday 28th April, an event designed to give leaders time away from day-to-day demands to reflect on how they lead and the impact it has on their wellbeing.

The event comes at a time when conversations around stress and burnout are becoming increasingly prominent, particularly among senior leaders who often feel pressure to remain constantly available and “on.”

“Many leaders are operating in a constant state of demand, without the space to step back and think clearly,” says Jones. “Stress Awareness Month is a timely reminder that without recovery, performance becomes harder to sustain, not easier.”

Rather than focusing on productivity techniques or quick fixes, The Leadership Reset creates space for guided reflection, conversation and journaling. Participants will explore how they currently show up as leaders, what pressures may be shaping their decisions, and how to lead with greater intention, energy and focus.

The half-day session also includes small group discussion and a facilitated self-leadership workshop, offering leaders an opportunity to share perspectives and step outside the usual pace of their roles.

Jones, who supports leaders to prevent burnout before it becomes absence, attrition, or underperformance, says many only recognise the need for change when it becomes unavoidable.

“People don’t tend to change their habits because they’re encouraged to, they change when they have to,” she explains. “Events like this are about creating that pause earlier, before stress reaches that point.”

Set in the surroundings of the stunning Middlethorpe Hall & Spa, the event is intentionally designed to support calm thinking and meaningful conversation.

While open to leaders at all stages, from business owners to those leading teams or considering their next step, the focus remains consistent: creating the conditions for clearer thinking and more sustainable leadership.

The Leadership Reset will take place from 10am to 2pm on Tuesday 28th April, with further details at www.rosjones.co.uk
