The Leeds office of professional services firm Aon plc (NYSE: AON), is celebrating after six of its pensions team were announced as finalists in the prestigious Women in Pensions Awards. In total, 40 Aon colleagues have been shortlisted nationwide.

The Women in Pensions Awards are focused on appreciating the most remarkable achievements of women in the sector as they push to improve the industry for all. Those shortlisted have been nominated by peers within the sector in recognition of being a trailblazer, for going above and beyond, or for being an inspiring newcomer.

In Leeds those shortlisted are Azima Crumpton, Azjin Ali, Jasmine Lau, Lisa Varley, Susannah Calder and Karolina Wlodarczyk.

Susannah Calder, partner said: “I’m surprised yet grateful to have been nominated for these awards alongside so many talented colleagues and women throughout the industry. Recognition for the accomplishments of the diverse and dynamic female talent in the sector is not only a cause for celebration, but also ensures we continue to make the industry as open and flexible as possible so that it is a more sustainable industry for all.”

The finalists will now answer a series of questions to support their nomination before the winners are announced at a black-tie awards ceremony in November of this year.
