The Yorkshire-based Technical Accounting and Valuations team at UK top ten accountancy and advisory firm Azets has appointed Sabrina Khushi as valuations director. Sabrina’s appointment takes the award-winning team to a total of 14 people, making it one of the largest in the region.

Sabrina has more than ten years of experience in professional practice and industry, spanning a variety of sectors and businesses, from family-owned SMEs to international groups.

Her specialist expertise strengthens Azets specialism in various accounting valuations, from purchase price allocations on acquisitions to financial reporting, commercial and recurring fund valuations.

Azets’ Technical Accounting and Valuations team, which was named ‘Team of the Year’ at the 2022 Yorkshire Accountancy Awards, delivers specialist support including financial reporting and accounting advice, share-based payment valuations, IFRS conversions, and acquisition accounting alongside the accounting valuations support.

Sabrina commented on her appointment: "I am thrilled to join Azets at this exciting time for the group. The Technical Accounting and Valuations team has played a major part in the company’s national and regional growth, and this is a wonderful opportunity for me to be a part of such a talented team. I am looking forward to supporting our clients through the complexities of accounting valuations and contributing to our future success.”

Claire Needham, partner at Azets, leads the Technical Accounting and Valuations team, which has ambitious plans to achieve double-digit growth over the next 12 months.

She added: "We are delighted to welcome Sabrina to our expanding Technical Accounting and Valuations team. We are confident that with Sabrina on board we can build on the momentum of the past two years delivering high quality support and value to clients in Yorkshire and across the UK. Azets' commitment to delivering personalised client services, its ongoing investments in talented smart people and technology, and its ambitious growth plans align perfectly with Sabrina’s appointment.”
