Multi-sector property specialist Caddick has promoted Hollie Shackleton to Associate Director. Bringing with her nearly 20 years of industry expertise gained from her work at Oakgate Group and Caddick’s developments arm, Hollie has played a pivotal role in securing commercial and residential opportunities across Yorkshire.

In her new role, Hollie will bring her extensive experience in asset and property management to the Caddick board, ensuring that its developments uphold high standards of sustainability, accessibility, and cultural value for local communities.

Hollie leads on key projects across Yorkshire, including Rose Wharf, the Grade II listed workspace building adjacent to Leeds Docks; SOYO, the £300 million mixed-use project in Leeds’ cultural quarter; and South Village, the £1 billion city-centre scheme delivering up to 2,000 homes. Hollie will also continue to manage developments on behalf of Oakgate Group.

Hollie was first drawn to the property sector after being inspired at a young age by her father’s work, where watching the transformation of construction projects from start to finish sparked her passion for the built environment. She began her career in 2006 with a work experience placement at Oakgate Group, part of the wider Caddick group of companies, and was offered a full-time role following her graduation with a BA in Geography from the University of Manchester. Her industry knowledge was further strengthened by a master’s degree in Property Appraisal and Management from Sheffield Hallam University.

Reflecting on her career, Hollie shared that one of her proudest achievements was becoming one of the youngest women in the country to qualify as a chartered surveyor. Amongst her professional highlights is her work on heritage properties on behalf of Caddick and Oakgate, which contributed to the success of landmark developments including The Mount in York and the newly refurbished Rose Wharf in Leeds. She also played a key role in achieving the highest pound-per-square-foot value for a residential development in York.

In addition to her new role, Hollie is passionate about mentoring and currently supports young professionals within the business who are working toward chartered status. Through her work with Steph Livesey, she has fostered a supportive and aspirational environment within the company.

Steph Livesey, property manager at Caddick, said: "Hollie's mentorship has been truly invaluable to my development. She leads by example every day and always takes the time to offer support and advice when I need it most. Her guidance has helped me grow not just in my career, but also in my personal confidence and leadership skills. I'm excited to see the positive impact she'll continue to make in her new role at Caddick."

Reflecting on her promotion, Hollie said: “I’m grateful to Caddick for providing me with opportunities to grow in my career—from my early days at Oakgate Group to now taking on a more senior role in the wider business. It’s been incredibly rewarding to mentor young professionals and watch them develop, especially as the business continues to champion diversity. I’m excited to work with the leadership team on delivering inclusive and accessible placemaking across Yorkshire.”

Myles Hartley, managing director at Caddick, added: “We’re incredibly proud of Hollie’s journey, from starting as a work placement almost 20 years ago to becoming a Senior Development Surveyor at Oakgate, and now taking her place on Caddick’s senior team. Her dedication, leadership, and deep understanding of the property sector make her a valuable asset, and we’re excited to see the impact she’ll make as associate director.”
