Yorkshire artisan business, Charlie & Ivy's has developed three new products that will launch at Farm Shop and Deli Show on 5 to 7 July.

Charlie & Ivy's are entering the marinades market for the first time with rapeseed oil-based marinades in three flavours: Spicy Chorizo, Jerk and Peri-Peri.

All three have been designed to be used as marinades for vegetables, fish and meat before roasting, grilling and barbequing and are suitable for vegans, vegetarians and coeliacs.

The base for the Spicy Chorizo Marinade is Smoked Rapeseed Oil. It's mixed with smoked paprika, fennel seeds and cayenne pepper that gives a hot, smoky, spicy flavour to vegetables, meat and fish.

The Jerk Marinade is made from cold-pressed rapeseed oil, lime, chilli and garlic oils plus selected herbs and spices to deliver a warm, spicy and zesty flavour for meat, poultry and fish.

The Peri-Peri Marinade adds a spicy, tangy and citrusy flavour with notes of chilli, garlic and herbs to vegetables, meat and fish and works well as a marinade before roasting and barbecuing.

Speaking about the rationale for the launch, Charlie & Ivy's Marketing Manager, Jennie Palmer said: "Like lots of people, we have been experimenting with flavours during lockdown and we wanted to introduce something new and different for our customers as they start to entertain at home again.

"Conversations that we have had with our customers suggest that marinades are a magnet for foodies looking for quick, easy and delicious ways to enhance the flavour of their food without making marinades from scratch."

The marinades come in cases of six 250ml glass jars. The trade price is £2.79 and the suggested RRP is £4.50.

Charlie & Ivy's products are made using award-winning cold-pressed, rapeseed oil by parent company, Breckenholme on their farm in Yorkshire.
