Leeds based law firm Consilia Legal is pleased to announce the appointment of two new lawyers to its growing family law team, further strengthening the firm's ability to support clients across a broad range of family legal matters.

The new recruits bring valuable experience and expertise, enhancing Consilia's commitment to delivering practical, high-quality legal advice throughout Yorkshire and beyond, whilst expanding their mediation services at the same time.

Commenting on the appointments, director Laura Clapton stated, "I am delighted to welcome Claudia Gilham and Sam Sinclair to Consilia. I have known and admired them both since the early stages of my own career as a family solicitor. Claudia is widely recognised as a leading family finance practitioner and Sam has built a solid reputation as a collaborative lawyer. Their appointments further enhance the breadth and depth of expertise available to our clients.”

“Most importantly, Claudia and Sam share our values, our client focused approach and our commitment to fostering a supportive culture. I am excited to see the impact they will have as part of the Consilia team.”

Claudia Gilham joining from Mills & Reeve added, “Consilia was the easiest decision of my career. Both Laura and Marie Walsh have built an envious family and employment law boutique practice which combines a commitment to both legal excellence and their people. Laura’s reputation as a mediator in the marketplace is unparalleled, with her team close at her heels in terms of their legal skill, diligence and considered approach. I am so excited to be working with Laura and my new team to develop our high net worth and wealth protection offering, further strengthening our future success.”

Sam Sinclair who previously worked at Ware & Kay commented, “Consilia has always stood out to me as leading the way in family law both in terms of client care and investing in a culture that genuinely promotes wellbeing. The firm is committed to offering clients a bespoke and personal service, which has developed its outstanding reputation.

As a collaborative lawyer and a mediator working towards accreditation, I am extremely excited to be joining Laura and the family team. They are passionate about non-court dispute resolution and have a wealth of expertise and experience. I am looking forward to being able to service their existing clients as well as expand our growth in the Yorkshire region. Equally, I feel lucky to be joining such a supportive and sociable team!”.

The appointments not only build on the strength of their family law team but reflect Consilia's ongoing investment in its people and its ambition to expand its offering while maintaining the collaborative, client-focused approach for which the firm is known.
