A well-known farm shop and café located between Bedale and Northallerton is hosting a chocolate-making demonstration on Monday 4th November, delivered by world class chocolatier, Ben Ellis.

Having recently begun stocking Ben Ellis’ products, farm shop owners Mark and Karen Gatenby have worked with husband and wife team, Ben and Vicky, who is a Yorkshire Businesswoman member, to create an event to share some of the magic with customers and give them a sneak peek at potential Christmas gift ideas.

Mark said: “We were already aware of Ben’s chocolates, they have an excellent reputation, and we love to champion local producers wherever we can, so stocking the range was a no-brainer. We sold out in the first few days which was amazing – so our customer base clearly approves, too!”

The event takes place at 7pm on Monday 4th November at the farm shop, where Ben will demonstrate his skills and samples will be available to guests. Tickets are £5 per person, with this then redeemable against a chocolate purchase on the night.

Ben said: “We’re quite literally half a mile down the road from Spring House so it’s brilliant to have such local support. The event is an opportunity for us to showcase what we can do and give customers the opportunity to sample our products – the proof is in the eating!”

Refreshments will be available on the night and customers will be able to purchase on the spot, as well as pre-order Christmas gifts and treats, and learn more about Ben and Vicky’s new subscription service.

The farm shop and cafe is ideally situated on a main road and is easily accessible from the A1 so appeals to both regular customers, tourists and those looking for something than a motorway service station as they pass through.

Tickets are available in store at Spring House Farm Shop or can be purchased over the phone on 01677 422212. There are limited spaces available.
