Setting off on Thursday, 2nd May, Bucharest (OTP) joins the LBA roster with twice-weekly flights departing on Thursdays and Saturdays. From 4th June, the Bucharest service will extend to three times a week over summer, with additional departures on Tuesdays.

Ideal for all holidaymakers, including friends, families and solo travellers, Bucharest boasts a wide range of attractions where modern life is immersed with historical tradition. From the iconic landmarks such as the Palace of the Parliament from the communist era, or the picturesque Stavropoleos Monastery nestled in the historic Lipscani district, the city’s vast touring programme, lively nightlife, and welcoming hospitality will draw tourists from across the region.

The launch of the new routes were celebrated with a cake and ribbon cutting ceremony amongst LBA and airline staff.

Vincent Hodder, chief executive officer (CEO) at Leeds Bradford Airport, said: “We are thrilled to mark these inaugural flights of our growing partnership with Ryanair at Leeds Bradford Airport. Welcoming new routes to LBA solidifies our airport as Yorkshire's gateway to some of the most sought-after destination across the world.

“These additions broaden the options available for our passengers, offering enhanced access to Africa and one of Europe’s most vibrant capital cities, something we’re sure holidaymakers from across the region will take advantage of.”
