Harron Homes Yorkshire has launched Castle Gardens, a new development situated on De Lacy Way in Pontefract.

The development, opened to the public on Saturday 11th January, offering potential buyers a glimpse into the exceptional quality and lifestyle opportunities available in this exciting new community.

Castle Gardens transforms a 16-acre brownfield site, formerly home to the Prince of Wales colliery, into a vibrant new community in partnership with Harworth Group. The name of the development pays homage to the nearby Pontefract Castle, built by Ilbert de Lacy in 1070. Work has started on the first phase of 66 energy-efficient homes.

The homes are designed to cater to a wide range of buyers, including first-time buyers, working professionals, and families. With a mix of three and four bedroom properties, the development boasts excellent transport links to Leeds and Doncaster via the M62. Future residents will also benefit from proximity to local amenities, such as shops, restaurants, and the train station, as well as tranquil green spaces.

As part of its commitment to the community, Harron Homes has pledged over £110,000 in S106 contributions to enhance the local area.

Katie Charlesworth, sales and marketing director commented, “We are delighted to welcome potential buyers to Castle Gardens this January. These homes provide an excellent opportunity to see the outstanding quality and thoughtful design that define our developments.”
