Can you really stop the clock when it comes to reducing the signs of aging?

Selby based cosmetic clinician and founder of Time to Bloom Dr Lubna Khan-Salim (pictured) and Dr Nichola Conlon, a molecular biologist is hosting a special event as part of York Fashion Week to answer that question by sharing the secrets on inside out beauty to reduce the visible signs of aging.

The pair will be exploring the latest development and ways to enhance skin radiance and optimise skin health from within at the event held at the Principal Hotel, on Monday 2nd May, 2pm-4pm as part of the annual celebration.

The event is part of the Beauty Briefings series launched by Dr Lubna earlier this year to provide a space for women to have open, honest and expert conversations on beauty and skin care.

Dr Lubna said: “Our first Beauty Briefing held in March was a sell-out and really supported the need for a dedicated event where women could come and have a fun time with like-minded people and feel empowered to ask all the questions that they have about beauty treatments and the latest advances in skin care, direct to the experts.

Everybody is uniquely beautiful, and nobody should be made to feel judged or embarrassed about wanting to feel good about themselves. I’m delighted to be part of York Fashion Week and hosting this event that celebrates aging with confidence.”

Nicky Hayer, creative director of York Fashion Week (YFW) adds: “York Fashion Week is about confidence and self-belief. We want to empower creatives, models, artists, and business owners to push boundaries - whilst being true to themselves. When I met Dr.Lubna and understood her vision for Time to Bloom, I couldn’t wait for us to work together. To have her expertise is one thing, but to have her genuine consideration for each individual that she treats, makes her invaluable to YFW. We love her ethos of treating the body from the inside out, and the fact that there’s no one solution for everyone. She’s inspired our team, and we can’t wait to see her reach our wider network.”

Vintage luxury fashion retailer, The Pod will have a pop-up stand at the event and attendees will be greeted by a glass of fizz and receive a specially curated Time to Bloom goodie bag. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the UN Refugee Agency for Ukraine.

Tickets can be bought at beautybriefings.eventbrite.co.uk
