The AA Rosette restaurant, The View invites diners to savour the season as well as local produce as from Monday 20th November – Saturday 23rd December 2023.

Enjoy starters such as: Coniston Estate Game Pate, Truffled Chestnut & Mushroom Pate as well as Roasted Cauliflower Soup.

Mains offered include: Altham’s Butchers Roast Turkey Medallion Stuffed with Roast Shallot, Sage & Apple Stuffing with Pigs in Blankets, Duck Fat Roast Potatoes, Buttered Vegetables topped with Thyme Gravy. There’s also Maple Roast Squash topped with Toasted Pumpkin Seed with Nut & Sage Gratin, Wilted Rocket, Pomegranate, drizzled with Balsamic Reduction.

A plethora of desserts include: Traditional Christmas Pudding with Brandy Sauce and Redcurrants, Roast Pecan & Caramel Tart accompanied by Nutmeg Cream, a delicious Chocolate Yule Brownie with Toasted Marshmallows & Sea Salt Crumb or for those without a sweet tooth, a Selection of Courtyard & Local Cheese.

Whilst at lunch, tuck into a festive feast before unwinding during the afternoon with movies, board games or take the opportunity to explore the large estate. To close Christmas Day, a light supper will be served complete with a Christmas themed quiz!
Tuesday 26th December 2023
After a sumptuous breakfast, blow away the cobwebs with a leisurely stroll around the estate or perhaps indulge in the multi award winning spa (finalist in the ‘Best Destination Spa’, Good Spa Guide Awards 2023). After lunch sit back and relax or tackle a fun self-guided scavenger hunt! During the evening, sip a glass of fizz before savouring supper before bed. Rise the following morning and breakfast before The Coniston bid you a fond farewell.

Sunday 31st December 2023
Arise to a hearty Yorkshire breakfast before time at leisure with family and friends. Get glam as New Year Eve celebrations kick off with a champagne cocktail reception and canapes before tucking into a decadent six-course dinner with hand selected wines. Enter the fabulous live band and see in the New Year in style with champagne, fireworks and bacon sandwiches at midnight. Enjoy a deep slumber after an incredible night celebrating with loved ones.
