Leeds-based agency, Brilliant, has been chosen by the UK’s favourite blue cheese brand, Saint Agur, as its sole social media agency following a competitive pitching process. The agency began work in December with content launching across platforms at the start of the new year.

Savencia Fromage & Dairy, a global supplier of premium cheese and dairy brands, including Saint Agur, put the callout for an agency that could support in its efforts to attract a younger audience demographic through exciting and creative content without alienating its existing, older customer base. Having a decade-long expertise in promoting and marketing food and drink brands, Brilliant responded with an approach to update the brand’s tone of voice across social media and a creative response that works to continue to inspire those current customers but also show off the product’s versatility to a prospective, future audience.

Brilliant’s team of social media experts, copywriters and designers will work in tandem with the Saint Agur team, creating and implementing a social media strategy designed to promote key brand activity, like its partnership with celebrity chef Raymond Blanc, along with updating its creative outputs through photography, graphic and motion design to evolve the current content and entice a new audience of blue cheese lovers.

Speaking on the win, Laurra Davis, founder and creative director said: “We’re really excited to be working with Saint Agur to help make blue cheese lovers out of a younger generation. Specialising in marketing food and drink brands means we have a real insight into how to entice and inspire customers through engaging tactics and that’s exactly what we’re able to do with the much-loved, Saint Agur brand.”

Trang Pham, marketing director at Savencia Fromage & Dairy UK&I, commented:
“We're very happy to start working with Brilliant this year. Since day one Brilliant demonstrated enthusiasm, expertise and clear understanding of our business challenges. Together we will be driving Saint Agur’s social media presence forward with engaging and creative content. The agency works in a way that is hugely accommodating and flexible making it a valuable and trusted partner.”
