A feast of family fun is lined up at the Great Yorkshire Showground next week when the Great Holiday Home Show opens to the public in Harrogate for the first time.

There is just one week left to book your tickets before the UK’s biggest holiday home event of the year opens its gates. With an incredible 227 holiday homes and 140 motorhomes and caravans on display across 33 acres of land, it is the largest outdoor holiday home show in the country. There will be lots to entertain visitors, including live music, child-friendly performances and demonstrations.

For the first time in its 40-year history, the Great Holiday Home Show (formerly known as The Lawns) will be held at the Great Yorkshire Showground from Friday 8th September to Sunday 10th September 2023.

Among the Show’s family-friendly line-up of entertainment are Mr. Wilson’s Second Liners whose upbeat tracks are guaranteed to get audiences dancing, Flat Cap Brass and their bold brass and drum repertoire, and The Washboard Resonators, an ensemble who sound like a ragtime street band meeting a Hollywood musical on a theatre stage in the 1930s.

Visitors will be entertained by The Bread and Butter Theatre Company’s mischievous garden fairies, who pop up out of plant pots to share gardening tips, and the whole family is invited to step into the woods to meet Enchantica’s fairies to learn about how to preserve and protect UK woodlands and animals.

There will also be facepainting, a climbing wall, a delicious choice of food from Mexican burritos to traditional fish and chips, as well as an array of leisure activity demonstrations showing what families can do on their next holiday.

Have a go at stand-up paddleboarding, test the latest e-bikes and take a towing tuition session to test your skills; a great opportunity if you are looking to purchase your first caravan. Other highlights that are not to be missed are celebrity chat shows and cookery demos.

Richard Jones, Show Chairman said: “The Great Holiday Home Show promises to be a brilliant day-out with a fantastic family-friendly atmosphere. There is so much to see if you are interested in caravans, motorhomes and holiday homes, with more manufacturers and supplier stands than ever before and lots of entertainment too to keep the whole family entertained.”

The Great Holiday Home Show is the UK’s biggest holiday home event of the year, bringing industry leaders together for the first time in four years.

The Show will see 21 of the major holiday home, motorhome and caravan manufacturers, including household names, ABI, Carnaby, Swift and Willerby, launch their latest models.

Hall 2 will be become the Leisure World Shopping Village with trade stands from some of the industry’s biggest brands such as Isabella, Sunncamp, Bradcot, Groves and Crespo. The shopping village is the perfect place to purchase a new accessory or upgrade to the latest industry technology.

Celebrity chat shows will be hosted by TV presenter Christine Talbot with Matt Baker MBE on the Sunday, as well as a cookery theatre fronted by Great British Bake Off star Karen Wright and renowned chef Steph Moon.

Other special guests include YouTube motorhome family the Roaming Radfords who will appear on all three days. Adventurer Andy Torbet and Peter Wright from Channel 5’s The Yorkshire Vet feature on the Friday and Saturday.

Tickets are £12.50 per person, children under 16 go free with an accompanying paying adult. Parking is free and well behaved dogs on a short lead are welcome.
