A new restaurant is set to open within the ground floor of Hyatt Place next month. Situated within Sovereign Square, the new restaurant, Zoom, will offer a bold and contemporary take on global cuisine with a strong Asian influence.

The restaurant aims to become the go-to destination for business professionals and commuters alike looking for an ideal setting for meetings, working lunches, and after-hours networking.

With art-laden walls, contemporary spaces, colourful interiors, and a menu that celebrates the rich global flavours while embracing local influences, the restaurant is set to be a destination for any occasion – from a quick business lunch or client dinner to sophisticated evening meal or get together with friends.

Signature dishes will include the likes of Crispy Beef and a Superfood Poke Bowl – as well as Yorkshire inspired dishes such as the Large Yorkshire Pudding!

Within the restaurant will also be ‘The Market’, offering ‘grab & go’ style prepared lunches for busy city workers in a meal deal style 24/7. Freshly prepared and locally sourced salads, sandwiches and seasonal specials will be available for those needing to dine on the go, as well as coffee courtesy of renowned local coffee roastery, North Star.

Alongside establishing itself as a key player in Leeds’ thriving food scene with its extensive offerings, Hyatt is also deeply committed to becoming part of the city’s community and has secured the partnership with North Star, to not only support independent businesses but also offer a high-quality coffee experience for customers.

The restaurant will be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with morning service running from 6:30am to 9:00am on weekdays and 7:00am to 10:00am on weekends. From Monday to Saturday, an all-day menu will be available from 11:30am to 9:30pm, while on Sundays, a thoughtfully curated Sunday Roast menu will be served from 11:00am to 5:00pm before transitioning to dinner until 9:30pm.

Spearheading the kitchen is head chef, Angelina Au, whose 30-year career spans five-star hotels and renowned UK restaurants, such as Shangri-La Hotels and Four Seasons Resorts.

Speaking of the restaurant, Angelina said: “We wanted to create a dining space that caters not only to hotel guests but also to the wider community, particularly business professionals who seek an inspiring and comfortable setting for meetings and corporate dining.

“With a menu built on bold, dynamic flavours and an atmosphere that encourages both productivity and relaxation, we’re confident that our restaurant will become a must-visit destination for those looking to integrate business and leisure in Leeds.”
