The Marriott Leeds, Wednesday, November 15, 2023

Smart Works Leeds, the charity that dresses and coaches unemployed women for interview and job success, is to host a major fundraising ball and awards ceremony to celebrate its fourth anniversary.

Taking place at The Marriott Leeds on November 15, organisers say it will be a glamorous celebration of Yorkshire fashion, hosted by a team of super-stylish Yorkshire personalities and special guests.

Attendees are encouraged to dress in a way that makes them feel confident and tells a story. Smart Works Leeds co-chair of trustees Tracy Fletcher says: “We invite you to wear that outfit you never thought you would, that has perhaps been stored in your wardrobe for too long, or it might be a favourite piece that reminds you of a wonderful time.”

The awards will honour supporting businesses alongside fashion designers, influencers, stylists and retail outlets that give back to their communities and show sustainability awareness. Nominations can be made here - https://leeds.smartworks.org.uk/the-smart-works-leeds-fashion-as-a-force-for-good-ball/

There will be a reception, three-course meal and dancing. Smart Works Leeds co-chair Helen Oldham says: “It will be a night of magic moments, so everyone leaves feeling empowered and inspired.”

Tickets £85 each, £800 for a table for 10, at https://www.tickettailor.com/events/smartworksleeds1/984566
