We were lucky here in the office to receive a growing kit from Sow Clever last year, but alas, it arrived just after the time to plant the seeds.

This clever idea comes directly in the post in a box that includes everything you need to grow vegetables or flowers. The tray comes complete with little compost pouches, dried, that just need refreshing in water for five minutes. These are then inserted into the biogradable tray that comes in the kit.

Five packets of seeds are provided, three vegetable, 2 flowers and this weekend as the sun is shining, Yorkshire Businesswoman editor Gill Laidler, is going to attempt to sow the seeds and grow some flowers.

Now, not the greenest of fingers I admit, so this is going to be something of an experiment, but we will keep you posted on progress and hopefully be able to show you some results in a couple of weeks. Wish us luck!

If you fancy having a go yourself, head over to their website: www.sowclever.co.uk
