Luxury shopping destination Victoria Leeds is celebrating the Coronation of King Charles III with a special one-off event. The Best of British Showcase invites shoppers to browse a carefully curated collection of premium gifts and party pieces, allowing them to shop in a suitably royal fashion.

Harvey Nichols will be at the centre of proceedings, hosting the VIP Champagne Bar, where guests can indulge in a selection of Royal Warrant holding Champagnes and browse celebratory food hampers.

Royal standards
Expect entertainment from a roaming band, Back Chat Brass, who will provide an upbeat and joyous live soundtrack to the weekend, whilst Victoria Leeds itself will be decorated with themed bunting. High-end British shoe brand Cheaney will be on hand to demonstrate their signature Cheaney mirror shining showcase, which helps to keep your footwear up to Royal standards.

Many of the brands taking part are members of the Royal Warrant Holders Association, an honour which is granted for up to five years at a time to companies for the ongoing supply of goods to the Royal Household.

Esteemed British perfumers Penhaligon’s is one such company. Founded in London back in 1870, Penhaligon’s has long been a Royal favourite, recently launching their Highgrove Bouquet scent, the sales of which support The Prince’s Foundation. The royal scent was inspired by the fragrant summers of Highgrove Gardens at the home of his majesty and The Queen Consort. As well as offering a selection of refined perfumes, Penhaligon’s will be offering shoppers their fragrance profiling service, enabling them to find their new favourite scent.

Men’s footwear experts Loake also proudly carry the Royal Arms within its branding and have been on hand to supply their fine goods to the Royals on many occasions over the decades. Iconic fragrance brand Molton Brown and John Lewis also carry the Royal Warrant.

Historic occasion
Brands presenting include Molton Brown, Penhaligon’s and Joseph Cheaney & Sons, whilst Weeton’s, Loake and Whitewall Galleries will be there Sunday. John Lewis, Harvey Nichols, Hackett, Seasalt, North Home and Moda in Pelle.

Speaking of the event, Victoria Leeds Senior General Manager, Jo Coburn said: "The Coronation of King Charles is such an important and historic occasion, we wanted to do something unique to allow shoppers to celebrate with us. The Best of British Showcase sees some of our most iconic stores and royal-approved brands come together to create an unforgettable shopping experience.’’

"As well as being able to purchase luxury items from brands ranging from Molton Brown and Moda in Pelle to Loake and Whitewall Galleries, our visitors will be able to receive bespoke fragrance profiling from Penhaligon’s and witness expert mirror shoe shining from Cheaney.

"The Harvey Nichols Champagne Bar offers the perfect place to unwind with a glass of Royal Warrant Champagne after a spot of retail therapy."
