Sarah Wilkinson is the owner of the well-known and loved beauty salon Equilibrium in the centre of West Yorkshire town, Silsden.

The salon is celebrating its fourth year on Kirkgate and offers a wide range of skin and beauty treatments including chemical peels, meso therapy, LED light therapy, skin needling, lipofirm body sculpting and fat removal and laser hair and tattoo removal.

Known for her enthusiasm for skin care and beauty, Sarah has kept her followers entertained over lockdown with her engaging videos and when she’s not talking to her customers, she’s been heard on BBC Radio Leeds and Stray FM in recent weeks.

Sarah’s infectious passion for ‘the forgotten industry’ is admirable and in a time when she could have fretted she has spent lockdown bettering her own skill set and her employees, as well as investing heavily in new innovative products and equipment which is what makes Equilibrium so unique.

One customer enthuses “Within 48 hours of asking Sarah for help with a skin problem I have the appropriate solution was on my doorstep! Less than a week in and the results are exceptional. Her knowledge of the subject matter and the service to compliment that was superb. Highly recommend to anyone looking for help and support.”

‘Our clients are so enthusiastic and happy to have us back, with the extra PPE and hygiene measures we have implemented being well received and giving extra reassurance we have the client’s safety at the forefront of what we do. The industry as a whole is still suffering, with clients still nervous about being in society again, after being told by the government to stay at home for the past 4 months. It is our role to share how safe we are and have been way before the pandemic hit. We have set up VIP appointments for clients still feeling nervous whereby they book out an allocated amount of time with us 1:1 so they are not coming in to contact with others, this has helped. We have also staggered our working days and hours to minimise crossover. It will be a slow process, but we need to encourage this to get this much-loved industry moving again.
