It’s the most wonderful time of year at White Rose Shopping Centre, as its much-loved Christmas grotto officially opened on Saturday 6th November 2021.

Visitors are invited to meet the magical man in red at the centre’s magical grotto, where they’ll enjoy a meeting with Santa and his elves as well as receive a special gift to take away.

The event will be open daily from 13th November right up to 4pm on Christmas Eve to ensure that little ones of Leeds can make all of their last-minute requests.

Steven Foster, centre director, said: “We’re already getting into the festive spirit, and we can tell our guests are too – we’ve received lots of questions about Santa’s arrival. We’re excited to help ensure this Christmas is one to remember.”

What’s more, the centre will be launching a very special festive trail later in November. Stay tuned for announcements on White Rose’s social channels and website.

White Rose also launched its Christmas hours from Monday 6th December. The centre will be open from 9am – 9pm Monday to Friday, 9am – 8pm Saturdays, and 11am – 5pm Sundays from 6th December to 19th December, with even longer hours in the final run-up to Christmas: 9am – 10pm from the 20th to 23rd December.

Last-minute shoppers will be pleased to know that White Rose will remain open from 8am to 5pm on Christmas Eve, and early birds will enjoy extended hours on Black Friday, 26th November, from 9am to 9pm. Boxing Day sale shoppers can browse bargains from 10am – 4pm on 26th December.

Offering more than 100 shops and restaurants, including family favourites such as The Entertainer and Build-a-Bear Workshop, White Rose is the perfect festive day out destination. Look out for seasonal menus at Fridays and Pizza Hut and activities for all ages at The Escapologist.
