Wine Bar NoNo to open in Leeds

Leeds’ vibrant wine scene is about to welcome an exciting new addition as NoNo Wine Bar prepares to open its doors in March 2025. Located in Arch U, Dark Arches, Granary Wharf, NoNo will offer a laid-back, judgment-free space for wine lovers and newcomers alike, championing quality, terroir-driven wines in an accessible and welcoming environment.

NoNo is the latest venture from Barrique Fine Wines, a respected West Yorkshire-based wine merchant known for its commitment to "Bringing Wine to Life." Taking over the former La Casita site, the bar will offer a 60-seat venue with a small retail space, allowing guests to sample wines by the glass and purchase their favourites to enjoy at home.

Cutting Through the Noise – Wine Without Barriers
Stepping away from the sometimes-intimidating world of wine, NoNo is here to remove the unnecessary jargon and pretension, making wine discovery fun, simple, and enjoyable. With a constantly evolving selection, the bar will focus on new and emerging producers, diverse grape varieties, and unexpected finds, alongside iconic and cult classics.

Beyond wine, NoNo will offer a carefully curated selection of premium spirits, beers, and soft drinks, with a focus on sustainability and unique flavors.

A New Addition to Granary Wharf’s Thriving Hospitality Scene
Situated next to the south entrance of Leeds Train Station, NoNo will benefit from high foot traffic, attracting both commuters and locals. Granary Wharf is already home to a thriving mix of hospitality venues, making NoNo the perfect spot for post-work drinks, casual evenings, and wine-fuelled conversations.

"We believe wine should be about discovery, enjoyment, and sharing stories." says Edd Simpson, founder of Barrique Fine Wines. "Our aim is to create a space where everyone feels comfortable exploring wine in a way that’s fun, engaging, and completely free of intimidation. We're excited to offer an extensive wine list with over 50 wines by the glass, giving everyone the chance to discover the incredible diversity of wine"

An Interactive & Engaging Wine Experience
NoNo’s innovative wine list will empower guests to explore wines with confidence. Visitors can use an interactive digital menu that filters recommendations based on personal taste preferences, while those wanting to delve deeper can explore detailed information on each wine.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff will be on hand to guide guests through their choices, ensuring an approachable and engaging experience—whether they’re seasoned wine enthusiasts or total beginners.

Opening March 2025 – Stay Tuned for More
NoNo Wine Bar is set to open in March 2025, bringing a fresh, playful, and accessible approach to wine culture in Leeds. Keep an eye out for more announcements as the opening date approaches and information on a brilliant food offering.
