Christine Talbot & Matt Jameson return with a blockbuster podcast line-up

Yorkshire Talks, the hit podcast hosted by award-winning TV presenter Christine Talbot and Married at First Sight UK star Matt Jameson, is back this week and this new series is its most emotional, funniest and star-studded yet.

The season opens with Lisa Riley, Emmerdale royalty and current fan favourite in the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! jungle. In a conversation that swings from laugh-out-loud to lump-in-the-throat, Lisa reflects on 30 years as Mandy Dingle, her extraordinary health and weight-loss journey, and the memory of her beloved mum, Cath — including the one song that still brings her to tears.

Listeners are treated to a rare, personal interview with Dr Amir Khan, ITV’s resident GP on Good Morning Britain and Lorraine. In a refreshingly candid chat, Dr Amir reveals the small white lie that helped launch his TV career, opens up about life in his big Bradford family, and finally answers the much-asked question: what’s the secret ingredient in Mama Khan’s cooking?

One of the series’ most powerful episodes comes from Lindsey Burrow, wife of the late rugby legend Rob Burrow. Speaking to Christine and Matt just days before opening the new MND centre in Rob’s name, Lindsey shares the raw truth of navigating his diagnosis, their unbreakable bond, and the heartbreaking moment she knew she had to let him go.

The season continues with extraordinary voices including inspirational speaker Jono Lancaster — born with Treacher Collins syndrome — who shares how he went from hiding from mirrors to embracing life with fearless openness on Channel 4’s Love My Face.

YouTube sensation Danny Malin also returns to Yorkshire Talks after a turbulent year of two strokes and debilitating depression. In his most honest interview yet, Danny explains why he stepped away from Rate My Takeaway and how he’s rebuilding a life filled with purpose and peace.

Also featuring this season:

  • Claire Warren — creator of My Kinda Mum and social media powerhouse
  • Julie Cryer — celebrity psychic marking 50 years in the industry
  • Kuill — vocal powerhouse known from The Voice and Let It Shine
  • Rosie Madison — BBC Radio 1 DJ & fashion designer

And in a not-to-be-missed special episode, Christine and Matt interview each other — revealing confessions, surprises and stories even their most loyal followers have never heard.

What the Hosts Say

Christine Talbot:
“Yorkshire Talks feels like settling in for a chat with your closest friends — you can be laughing one minute and wiping away tears the next. This series introduces an incredible new wave of Yorkshire voices with raw, funny and deeply personal stories. Every single guest opened up in such a powerful way.”

Matt Jameson:
“We genuinely forgot we were recording half the time — that’s how relaxed and honest our guests were. We’ve loved making this series, and we hope listeners feel the same connection we did.”
