Leeds-based marketing solutions agency, Youbee Media has received Yorkshire’s ‘Creative Marketing Agency of the Year’ award at the prestigious National Business Hero Awards.

The Business Hero Awards celebrate successful regional companies and individuals who push boundaries through diversity, inclusion, and equality. The awards are a fixture in the annual Fashion Ball, a highlight in Yorkshire's business calendar. Dubbed the ‘The Go-To Event of the Year’, the Fashion Ball is now in its 27th year and continues to grow in momentum as the largest northern business, fashion, beauty, and lifestyle event outside of London.

Fashion Ball founder Lisa Darwin says, “The calibre of shortlisted professionals was so high this year, and we had some incredible businesses and individuals to consider. Youbee Media stood out as a company that’s making their presence known, growing, and building connections. They really deserve this recognition.”

Youbee Media has blazed a trail of achievement since inception in 2020. In less than 4 years, the team have been shortlisted in the Enterprise Vision Awards, Yorkshire Choice Awards, and Yorkshire BusinessWoman Awards. Founder and CEO Rebecca Hopwood has been recognised in the Insider Media 42 Under 42 list, the Northern Power Women Future List, and thebusinessdesk.com Leadership Awards (Yorkshire).

Rebecca notes that she is ‘incredibly proud of what I’ve built, simply because I chose to exceed small and predictable expectations. I’ve always had a vision of creating a culture that’s inclusive, supportive, and nurturing. It means that Youbee Media is flexible and free-thinking. This drives great results from the team and all our associates.

Youbee Media’s head of creative, Dena Reynolds also celebrates this ethos, commenting, “It’s so liberating to work in a safe and progressive space. This creative licence means I’m constantly motivated to discover and deliver new solutions. It’s such an effective process, and I feel I get as much out of this as our clients do’’.

The team collaborates on charitable and pro-bono passion projects, alongside an array of marketing solution projects delivered for regional businesses, from sole traders through to B2B clients with an international audience. With a strong emphasis on relationship building, delivering value, implementing creative ideas, and crafting strategic campaigns, Youbee Media stands out as the ideal partner for SME’s in Yorkshire.

Speaking backstage at the awards ceremony, Rebecca reflects, “The magic of our approach started to show early on, when our clients responded with excitement to our proposals, followed by great feedback as our collaborations progressed. It just makes sense to me. We listen, we keep an open mind, and we really get to know our clients and where they’re heading."

Youbee Media have further plans to expand and grow in 2024, but the ethos of creating joy, celebrating success and maximising opportunities will remain prevalent.

Olivia Rock joined Youbee Media team in 2022 as a digital marketing apprentice and has since been promoted to content executive within the Youbee team.
