Leeds Grand Theatre closes due to Coronavirus
Following official government advice issued on Monday 16 March, which stipulates
that people should avoid public buildings, including theatres, we regret to
announce that Leeds Grand Theatre & Opera House Ltd. will close from today to
help slow the spread of coronavirus.

Heritage & arts project creates a new role model
A recent heritage and arts project, spanning Hull and West Yorkshire, has
created a powerful new role model for young women in the region.
The project, called Crossing the Line was inspired by the true story of Julia
Lee, who survived and thrived against the odds to become one of
Leeds Playhouse to stage new musical featuring the hit songs of Sir Tom Jones
WHAT’S NEW PUSSYCAT?, a brand new musical featuring the iconic songs of the
internationally celebrated singer Sir Tom Jones, and written by the Tony-Award
winning Joe DiPietro (Memphis the Musical), will premiere at Leeds Playhouse on
23 September.

gardener and TV presenter.
Tong Garden Centre has partnered with Leeds based garden designer and ITV’s Love
Your Garden presenter, Katie Rushworth for a fourth consecutive year.

announced today by The Headley Trust and Art Fund as one of the four successful
recipients of the second round of the Headley Fellowships with Art Fund, a major
national funding programme for museums professionals.
