Barratt and David Wilson Homes has been announced as the lead sponsor of this year's Leeds Road Festival, backing Bradford's growing community event as it returns for an expanded programme of food, fashion, culture and entertainment.
Now in its second year, the festival celebrates the rich diversity and vibrant spirit of Leeds Road, bringing together local businesses, artists, performers and community groups. Following a successful inaugural weekend event during Bradford's year as UK City of Culture 2025, the expanded week-long festival will begin on 9 August, culminating with a two-day finale in Bradford Moor Park on 15 and 16 August.
Last year’s event saw visitors enjoy a packed programme of live music, art exhibitions, cultural performances, community activities and markets, showcasing the people, creativity and businesses that make the area unique.
Saleem Akhtar, event organiser said: "Welcoming Barratt and David Wilson Homes as lead sponsor for Leeds Road Festival 2026 is a fantastic milestone for the event and provides a strong foundation for its future. This support enables us to build on the success of our first festival and deliver an even bigger celebration this year. It's a partnership that reflects a shared commitment to bringing the best of Bradford together.”
Gavin Birch, managing director at Barratt and David Wilson Homes Yorkshire West, said: "We're delighted to support the Festival, reinforcing our commitment to the communities we work in across Bradford and West Yorkshire. The festival is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the area's rich culture, local businesses and community spirit though great food, music and entertainment.
"As a leading housebuilder, we're committed to investing in the places where we build. Alongside delivering high-quality new homes, we want to support initiatives that help communities thrive and create lasting benefits for local residents.”
Barratt and David Wilson Homes has a long-standing presence across Bradford, having built more than 1,500 homes in the district over the past decade.
With a week of entertainment, cultural activities and community events planned, Leeds Road Festival is set to once again showcase the energy, diversity and pride of one of Bradford's most distinctive neighbourhoods.
