Rise Up Networking is inviting Yorkshire’s business community to swap the usual networking format for an evening of celebration, connection and fun at its first Summer Social.
Taking place on Wednesday 1st July at Habbibi in Victoria Gate, Leeds, the event is open to both men and women and will bring together business owners, professionals, clients, colleagues and friends for an evening that combines networking with a genuine party atmosphere.
Guests can expect delicious food, a live DJ, fundraising for Yorkshire Children’s Charity and plenty of opportunities to build new connections in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Founded by Lucy Guest, Emma Bennett and Paz Gill, Rise Up Networking was created to provide a supportive and commercially focused community for women in business. Since launching, the network has welcomed hundreds of attendees to its events and raised more than £2,500 for Yorkshire Children’s Charity.
The Summer Social marks a new addition to the Rise Up calendar and is designed to bring together not only members of the network but the wider Yorkshire business community.
Lucy said: “Over the last year we’ve seen so many brilliant relationships develop through Rise Up, from referrals and collaborations to genuine friendships.
“We wanted to create an event that gives people the chance to celebrate those connections in a more relaxed setting. This isn’t a traditional networking event. It’s an opportunity to bring your team, invite your clients, catch up with business contacts and enjoy a fantastic evening together.
“As business owners, many of us don’t get a company summer party, so we thought we’d create one. We can’t wait to welcome people from across Yorkshire for what promises to be a really special evening.”
The event will also raise money for Yorkshire Children’s Charity, Rise Up Networking’s charity partner. Guests will hear more about the charity’s work supporting disadvantaged children and young people across Yorkshire, while fundraising activities throughout the evening will help contribute to the network’s ongoing support of the charity.
Emma said: “Community has always been at the heart of everything we do. This event is about bringing people together, celebrating successes, strengthening relationships and having some fun along the way. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported Rise Up so far and we’re looking forward to welcoming both familiar faces and new ones.”
