Stockeld Park expands Stockeld Stays with brand-new magical glamping pods
Looking for a staycation this summer to avoid the jet fuel crisis and extra costs of going abroad? Yorkshire’s award-winning family attraction, Stockeld Park (Stockeld), has announced the next chapter of its on-site accommodation offering - Stockeld Stays - with the introduction of brand-new bell tents, in addition to its existing Spofforth Lodge.
Stockeld Stays offers guests a chance to extend the adventure with an overnight stay right in the heart of the Stockeld Estate. Following the launch of Spofforth Lodge, a beautifully restored gatehouse at the entrance to the park, the introduction of additional glamping gives even more guests the opportunity to wake up surrounded by countryside and start the fun from the moment the park opens.
Launching this summer, the new tents will be available for weekend stays across early July, before running throughout the peak summer holiday period from 17th July until 31st August -offering families an immersive outdoor stay with easy access to Stockeld Park’s much-loved attraction included in the price.
Set within the estate’s beautiful countryside surroundings, the new glamping tents are designed with families in mind. Each sleeps up to five guests comfortably, with proper beds and cosy interiors, combining the adventure of staying outdoors with modern comforts. Guests staying on-site will benefit from shared shower and toilet facilities, a communal kitchen area and a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere throughout the stay.
Glamping guests will also receive free entry to Stockeld Park’s Adventure Park, with over 40 acres of outdoor play, including the Enchanted Forest, Magical Maze, adventure playgrounds, go-karts, inflatables and the award-winning Playhive indoor play space. Throughout the summer holidays, visitors can also enjoy a daily programme of live entertainment, from singers and bubble shows to a silent disco.
The new glamping offering has been carefully developed as a natural extension of Stockeld’s long-standing heritage, allowing families to slow down, stay a little longer and experience the park, waking up to countryside views and days filled with outdoor adventure.
Peter Grant, owner and chief fun officer at Stockeld Park, said:
“We’ve always thought there was something special about staying right here, and our new glamping experience finally makes that possible. It’s all about giving families more time together outdoors, combining the magic of Stockeld with the ease and comfort guests want from a summer staycation.”
Located just outside Wetherby, with Harrogate less than 15 minutes away and York and Leeds within easy reach, Stockeld’s glamping stays also offer a perfect base for exploring some of Yorkshire’s most popular destinations.
