            Yorkshire charities’ collaboration helps over 400 people stay socially connected
                Huddersfield-based Yorkshire Children’s Centre (YCC) has partnered with Age UK
Calderdale and Kirklees (C&K) to deliver a telephone befriending service for the
district’s most vulnerable people, as well as an app to help manage demand.

together to provide 36 locations where struggling families can access free
school meals during the October half term.
Sparked by footballer Marcus Rashford’s campaign to extend free school meals

year marks the 20th anniversary of the death of Sue Paxman; the inspiration

        Hairstylists bare all for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
                Hairstylists from Lucy’s Hair Extensions in Elland, Halifax, have taken part in
a pink underwear photoshoot to raise £1,000 for Breast Cancer Now. Lucy Pearson,
the owner of Lucy’s Hair Extensions, has also pledged to donate a further £5 for
every hair extension fitting throughout October.
