Nominations are now open for the prestigious Yorkshire Children of Courage Awards (YCCA). In aid of the St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation, the awards – now in their tenth year - celebrate the phenomenal achievements of young people who have demonstrated courage, determination, and strength in exceptional circumstances.
The awards ceremony, which takes place on Friday 14 October at New Dock Hall, Leeds, will include categories for children aged between 0 - 12 years and young adults between 13 – 18 years. There will also be a separate category for the charities who focus on supporting children and families across Yorkshire.
This year will also see the addition of a very special 10 Year Fellowship Award for 2022. This award will be presented to a previous YCCA winner from the last 10 years - an individual who has shown dedication to their cause and made a notable difference to the lives of others.

These awards are tremendously important in recognising and applauding the children and young adults who are so deserving of proper recognition. All monies raised at the YCCA awards ceremony will be matched pound-for-pound by St. James’s Place.
Over the last 10 years, funds raised by the YCCA have contributed hugely towards helping children, community groups and organisations in the Yorkshire region. Most recently, this has included the 2021 charity of the year winners The Children’s Heart Surgery Fund.
